Microlights
Microlight aircraft used for training at PFT (Cotswolds) include the two Eurostar fixed wing machines and a Quantum flexwing. We also have a Quik R demonstrator and an AX2000. You can learn to fly in any of these aircraft by booking a standard two hour slot. This includes time for checking the aircraft, instructor briefing, an hours flying and a de-briefing – and all for £125.
Our microlight aircraft syndicate schemes offer you the chance to fly microlight aircraft from around £42 per hour once you have a licence. Training is also significantly cheaper if you have a share. The fact we have four syndicate aircraft speaks for itself. The AX2000, powered by the high tech HKS engine, is a really affordable design using tubular aluminum covered with Dacron. The Cosmik Eurostar is a truly delightful little low wing all metal aircraft and the Quantum 912 is the ultrareliable fun flexwing.
The flexwing Quantum remains a favorite despite being usurped by the Quik and GT450 in the performance stakes. The Quantum cruises happily at 65mph while the Quik is happy at 80mph – that’s quite a thrill in an open cockpit machine that really is the motorbike of the sky! These trikes, from the Pegasus stable, are just the thing if the thrill of open air flying is what you fancy.
